Fallen Cider Apple Tree

Time to re-plant.Time to re-plant.

Twenty Four hours ago I had been writing in the News about the one remaining cider apple tree in the orchard here at Rose Villa. So it came as something of a surprise to find that the trunk of the tree in question had split, about four feet from ground level. Of course, it will be missed. It produced bright red, jewel-like apples from branches which zig zagged through the air.
