Blossom - small original Batik painting.
Spring has sprung when the Blossom appears with its promise of future fruit.
The artist first does sketches of the flowers and leaves before translating them into the painting you see before you. The Far Eastern technique of Batik uses layers of dyes and then wax resist to build up the image on pure cotton fabric. When the image is complete the wax is removed to reveal the painting you see before you.
Window mounted in off white conservation grade board and signed by the artist.
