Despite the near drought conditions we have both Damson and Apple trees bowed own with fruit.The Damson tree deserves a special mention.It has been part of the garden for about 40 years and has always produced fruit in varying quantities but this year it is true to say that the clusters of fruit are more akin to looking at grapes on the vine.
