RHS Chelsea Flower Show feels a long way back in time.Since returning to Herefordshire we have had a very busy time.Keeping up with online orders and spending time in the garden. The weather has been hot and sunny and progress has been made in terms of grass cutting and general maintenance.

Some solitude and some space

Some solitude and some spaceWalking near Presteigne

Having spent ten days working hard at RHS Chelsea Flower show we were ready to re-connect with the landscape on our doorstep. We love being at Chelsea. It is exciting and stimulating. We realise that we live in a place which is also stimulating but in a different way.

This walk takes in Pilleth,a small village which is south of Knighton in Powys.Pwll-y-Llethr,translated from Welsh to Pit on the Slope which could refer to the healing well of the Church of St.Mary

Pill - Lledd translates to The Wide Refuge which could refer to a tunnel from the monastery at nearby Monaughty to the well.
