Freshly cut grass and graceful oak.
A window of warm dry weather opened up an opportunity get out the lawnmower.
Walking over the newly cut lawn I was alerted to the Oak tree which sits pretty much in the dead centre of what used to be a small orchard. The Oak must be about 20 years old.I think it just appeared back then.In its early days it would faithfully put out tender new leaves which were in turn swamped by some kind of infestation which choked the leaves. But year on year the tree persevered and now is holding its own.I like the way the leaves bow down in a V form and tenderly touch the grass.
